Hope during the COVID-19 pandemic: perspectives from people with personal experience of self-harm, suicide and mental health
Welcome to the National Institute for Health Research Greater Manchester Patient Safety Translational Research Centre’s exhibition.
In this space, we have curated photographs from members of our mental health public involvement and engagement group. Members of the group have all had some experience of mental health either personally or as a carer. They play an important role in the research underway by the mental health theme at the NIHR GM PSTRC, helping to design research and sharing their experiences.
This exhibition has been created to mark World Suicide Prevention Day 2020 and raise awareness of the importance of hope, mental health research and public engagement work during these challenging times. The images and accompanying text explain what hope has meant to each person during the coronavirus pandemic.
We hope you enjoy the exhibition. For more information on the work of the GM PSTRC visit - http://www.patientsafety.manchester.ac.uk/
