Silent Spaces, a photography exhibition
For the past 5 years, I have been taking pictures of public spaces around the world that in one moment, were empty. For a brief moment, the space has a chance to breathe.Though the photographs are without people, each place showcases the traces of people and presents a portrait of place.
The photographs present intermediate spaces - spaces of the in-between. This series is perhaps more pertinent now, with many in isolation leaving the streets empty. This series stems out of a desire to find beauty in the places we take for granted.
I wrote a blog post about re-imagining virtual exhibition spaces, and how I created this one. You can read it here: https://findingtheatre.wordpress.com/2020/04/09/how-i-created-my-own-virtual-exhibition/
