Textual artifacts are a way to express your voice in ArtSteps walls. You may write anything you wish and 'hang' it in any of your exhibitions. Textual artifacts could be your mottos, favorite phrases, famous sayings, slogans you wish to write on ArtSteps walls, etc. You may create textual artifacts and store them in your gallery to be exhibited in an upcoming exhibition. Navigate to http://YourGalleryName.artsteps.com
and click ‘Artifacts’ in the upper right hand navigation bar to manage your gallery’s artifacts. You will be taken in the ‘Manage Artifacts’ page with ‘Images’ as the default type of artifacts. Click ‘Text’ to manage your textual artifacts.
To create a new textual artifact, just click ‘add text’. You will be then asked to fill out some fields:
When you have filled the above fields or just the Title and Text, select ‘Save’ and your textual artifact will be stored in your gallery. Simple as that!
Create a short and memorable title for your textual artifact.
Add your own text and save it in your gallery. Customize color and size while placing artifacts.
Enter one or more tags separated by commas. Tags are descriptive words that are stored along with this artifact.
To edit a text artifact, just click ‘Edit’ under the text whose fields you wish to update. A new window will pop up and you may update the fields that you filled while creating this artifact, i.e. title, text and tags. Your updates will automatically be applied to each exhibition that this artifact is displayed. You cannot alter your text’s font family but you can customize its color and size while placing it in your exhibition.
To view a textual artifact, just click ‘View’ under this artifact.
