Checking inner walls correctness is your third step of creating a room template. You will be taken to the ‘Check Placed Walls Correctness’ layout by selecting the ‘Next’ button in the Place Inner Walls
layout. You will be advised about your room design, if your walls are properly built, if navigation inside the room is blocked or difficult, etc.
More specifically, there could be three major design errors:
- red error, when one or more cell-walls are not placed in order for a wall angle to be created
solution: always create wall angles
- orange error, when the location of your inner walls blocks navigation inside the room
solution: the gaps between your inner walls or your inner walls and room’s outer walls should be three or more cells in length. A two- or one-cell gap makes navigating an impossible task and a three-cell gap makes it difficult but possible.
- yellow error, when the location of your inner walls increases the navigation difficulty inside your room
solution: the gaps between your inner walls or your inner walls and room’s outer walls should be at least four cells in length to ease the navigation inside the room
You cannot skip to the next step when a red error occurs. You need to create a wall angle and select the ‘Check again’ button to check again your walls correctness.
You can skip to the next step if an orange or a yellow error occurs. Just select the ‘Skip’ button or the ‘Previous’ one to correct it. Remember that if you skip to the next step, navigation will be difficult if not impossible in specific areas inside your room.
